Requirements:

As it’s a custom ROM, so you have to meet some requirements first:
  • Back up all current data on your phone as flashing ROM will erase them all.
  • Your phone must have been installed the latest TWRP3-2-3 recovery on your phone to flash the ROM.
  • Keep your android Phone battery at least 50 to 70% for the ROM installation.

Install TWRP 3-2-3 recovery on Galaxy S4

  • First, you download TWRP 3-2-3 recovery for your  S4 from this link. Remember to choose your right model. You should download the .tar TWRP Recovery file to install it through Odin
  • On your phone, go to Settings > Developer Options & enable OEM Unlock & USB Debugging options and 
  • Now, download and install Samsung USB driver on your computer.
  • Continue to download and extract Odin v3.13.1 on your Windows PC
  • Power off your phone and boot into Download mode (Power + Home + Volume Down buttons). When you see a warning screen,  & just press the Volume Up button while connecting your phone to the computer
  • Open Odin and click on AP button and browse to the TWRP recovery file
  • Click on Options tab and uncheck Auto-reboot option and then click on Start
  • Once done, remove the battery on your phone and insert it again. Then, press Power +Home + Volume Up buttons to boot into TWRP recovery.
  • From there tap on Wipe >Format and type Yes to format the internal storage of your phone. Next, simply reboot your phone
If you have previously installed a TWRP recovery on your phone, just download TWRP 3-2-3 recovery.img, boot your phone into TWRP recovery, tap on Install > Install img and flash the file.
Now, it’s time to flash the ROM file on your Galaxy S4.

How To Update Samsung  S4 To Android 9.0

  • Download to the Android 9.0 custom ROM & Google Apps package (pico/arm) and copy them into  your android phone internal storage.
  • Power your phone off and boot it into TWRP recovery
  • From there, tap on Wipe > Advanced Wipe and select four options: Dalvik, Cache, Data, System, and swipe to flash.
  • Next, tap on Install and flash the ROM file first. Once done, do NOT reboot your Galaxy S4 yet, continue to flash the Google App package to get Google services.
  • Wait for the process to complete and simply reboot your phone.
